Enrolment Requirements
This course allows you to brush up on your maths skills. You must attend for an assessment before you start the course. These courses are free.
What will I learn on this course?

You will be invited along to an initial assessment to find out what you need to work on and agree your learning aims. For example, you may need to:
Read and write numbers
Work on adding and subtracting
Recognise selected coins and notes
Read and tell the time
Assessment and Awarding Body: City and Guilds
The aim of this course is to improve your basic maths skills. Your skills will be assessed using assignment tasks.
Attendance?
In order that you will be able to successfully complete your qualification it is essential that you attend 90% of the taught sessions, so please think carefully before enrolling on this course if you have work or other commitments that may interfere with your attendance.
What else do I need to know?
You can begin at any point in the year and you will work towards the following qualifications: Entry Level 1 or 2 – laying the groundwork and brushing up on the basics.
You may need just a few weeks of practice or up to 72 hours of tuition – it’s all free.
What could I do next?
You could move up to the next level in maths or onto an English course.
