Enrolment Requirements

This course is specifically for learners with learning difficulties and /or disabilities.

If you are a creative person and enjoy using practical skills to creating various types of art work this course is for you. You will be creating a variety of floral pictures using a collection of art and craft materials. To join this course you must have communication and listening skills as well as fine motor skills to use scissors, a paint brush and pencils. If you are unable to work independently you will need to come with someone to support you.

What will I learn on this Course?

At Norham Community Wing we have access to an art room with all the resources available to enable you to create personal and individualised art work. You will learn a range of skills to produce your own independent style, these include:
 Learning to use personal visual and tactile abilities to create various textured art work.
 Learning practical skills associated with using flowers in art and craft works.

Assessment and Awarding body: non-accredited

Activities and work will be assessed by your tutor and you will receive feedback on your progress.


You will be expected to attend every week. A minimum of 80% attendance is required to meet your learning outcomes.

What else do I need to know?

Basic equipment is provided, but if you would like to choose your own materials you are welcome to bring them to the class. If there is anything specific you need to bring to the session your tutor will inform you the week before.
