German Intermediate Term 1, 2 & 3

Enrolment Requirements

This course is for those who already have some knowledge of the language (approximately equal to at least 3 years of learning). The emphasis will be on speaking and using the language with some grammar.

What will I learn on this course?

You will develop your ability to form your own sentences. The course will cover topics such as:
 Talking about leisure activities, likes and dislikes
 Discussing future plans and past holidays
 Learning about Germany, its regions and cities
 Giving opinions and making comparisons.
You will have lots of opportunities for practising speaking and listening through role-play, pair
    and group work.

Assessment and Awarding Body: non-accredited

You will be given work to do at home and, to get the most out of your course, you will need to practise regularly – 10 or 15 minutes each day is best. You will have opportunity to submit both this and individual additional optional work to your tutor and have it corrected.

You will be expected to attend every week. If you cannot attend, you will be set work to ensure you meet your learning outcomes.

What else do I need to know?

As well as using hand-outs and interactive activities, we will be following the Intermediate course book Willkommen 2 (published 2017). It would be helpful for learners to have their own copies.

What could I do next?

You may wish to try a different language such as French or Spanish.
