Enrolment Requirements

This course is specifically for learners with learning difficulties and /or disabilities.

If you are a keen gardener and like to grow flowers and vegetables from seed this course is for you. To join this course you must have communication and listening skills. If you are unable to work independently you will need to come with someone to support you.

What will I learn on this Course?

At Norham Community Centre you will learn a range of skills to sow, grow using window boxes to grow a range of flowers and vegetables.
You will:
 Learn about various soil types
 Learn about various plant feeds
 Sow and nurture your plants
 Pick out and replanting methods.

Assessment and Awarding body: non-accredited

Activities and work will be assessed by your tutor with feedback on your progress.

Attendance?

You will be expected to attend every week. A minimum of 80% attendance is required to meet your learning outcomes.

What else do I need to know?

Gardening gloves are required and instructions on what to buy will be given at the end of each session.

Your tutor will discuss progression opportunities with you.
